Ces espaces vont accueillir en partie les entités SNCF relogées du plateau des Abeilles dans le cadre du projet LNPCA (SUGE, TGV, ABE). Un nouvel accès sur le parvis de la gare routière sera créé pour permettre l’accueil des effectifs conformément aux règles de sécurité. Le projet se fixe comme objectif la revitalisation de l’édifice à travers une réhabilitation thermique profonde et une mise en conformité technique globale. Cette démarche vise à réintégrer le bâtiment au sein des espaces capables de la gare, afin d’y accueillir les collaborateurs et les activités nécessaires à l’exploitation ferroviaire. Environ 10 000 m2 de surface de plancher seront réhabilités.
