Il cantiere operativo 9e è l’estremità est di questa zona. Il viadotto dell’Arc è un’opera di ingegneria monotrave della portata di 135 metri che permette alla Nuova linea di attraversare il fiume «Arc» prima di entrare nel tunnel di base lato Francia (cfr. scheda descrittiva scaricabile da: https:// telt.achatpublic.com/accueil/). L’opera si colloca tra il «Salto di montone» ad ovest e la trincea coperta ad est che rappresenta l’entrata nel tunnel di base. Le chantier opérationnel 9 (CO 9), situé sur la plaine de Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, est le point d’interconnexion entre la partie française (SNCF-R) et la partie transfrontalière (TELT) du projet de liaison ferroviaire Lyon-Turin. C’est également le point de liaison entre le réseau existant (appelé aussi Ligne Historique) et les infrastructures nouvelles (appelées aussi Ligne Nouvelle) de la section transfrontalière, constituées essentiellement d’un tunnel de 57,5 km (dit « Tunnel de base »). Le chantier opérationnel 9e est l’extrémité Est de cette zone. Le viaduc de l’Arc (CO 09e) est un ouvrage d’art mono-travée d’une portée de 135 mètres permettant à la Ligne Nouvelle de franchir la rivière « l’Arc » avant son entrée dans le tunnel de base côté France.
